What is a True Gamer ?
The following is a challenging opinion based only on a gaming mindset. Have a differing view? Discuss it in the comments below.
A true gamer is someone who spends at least three to four hours per week playing PC and/or console games. The amount of time spent playing can range from an hour to several hours every session. This consistent conduct must exist for an extended length of time (i.e. more than 4 –6 months).
A true gamer games for the sake of having fun with game and having fun with friends. He or she appreciates winning but is more concerned with the entertainment value.
A true gamer also makes time to "fit in" some gaming time, no matter how busy he or she is. For the True Gamer, playing games is enjoyable and calming.
A true gamer loves playing a game AFTER completing it; they may not spend the same amount of time as before beating it, but they will not sell the game following accomplishing the main objectives.
A True Gamer Doesn't Really BUY A GAME, PLAY AND WIN IT IN A MONTH, THEN NEVER PLAY IT AGAIN, AND GO ON WITH HIS/HER Lives (this individual could be classified as a "regular gamer" or a "recreational gamer").
More information about the "gamer" genre:
A gamer is someone who enjoys playing PC and/or console games; this person may only play a game "once in a while."
A Recreational Gamer is someone who only plays a few sorts of games (for example, sports, RPGs, or first-person shooters) and does so only when it is convenient for him/her (a.k.a Casual Gamer)
A Hardcore Gamer is someone who spends all of their free time playing PC and/or console gaming. This individual Will Not SMELL, BE A GEEK, OR MEET ANY OTHER TYPE STANDARDS. This individual respects the esports for all of its successes during its history, prefers to win, prefers to win every game he/she plays, and speaks to others outside his/her own house about the games he/she plays (in detail).
Recreational gamers outnumber true gamers.
